As part of this effort, we work in partnership with many hospitals, universities, colleges, the British Council and governmental bodies around the world in delivering the examinations and UK equivalent training programmes.
Our examinations are mandatory for progression through core or specialty training in the UK. Indeed, in some countries outside the UK they also form a mandatory part of training and assessment (Hong Kong, Iceland and Singapore). In other countries, they represent an alternate means of demonstrating knowledge and skills, in conjunction with local training programmes (Malaysia). Through our interactions with international partners we have developed extensive understanding of the training requirements for doctors in many countries and work closely with local employers and regulators to refine the support we provide.
We have built comprehensive packages of training, assessment and curricula, which can be delivered anywhere in the world. Our goal is to work with our international partners to extend opportunities as widely as possible, for the benefit of the profession, local and national healthcare systems, hospitals, doctors and patients.
