Exam revision support and resources
Up to £500 reimbursement for examination study support is available for each candidate who has applied for, or plans to, resit the Part 2 examination. There is no time limit on claiming this financial support. All affected candidates have been emailed with instructions on how to claim.
Refunds for candidates
All candidates impacted by the results processing error have been contacted to facilitate refunds for the 2023/03 Part 2 examination diet and any subsequent resits they took as a consequence of the result issued at the time.
Exam scores updated for candidates whose outcomes were not affected
The scores for the candidates who sat the 2023/03 diet of the Part 2 examination, but whose outcome was not affected by the results processing error, have now been updated in their MyMRCP accounts.
Dates for resitting Part 2 examination in 2025
We would kindly remind candidates that there are four opportunities to resit the MRCP(UK) Part 2 examination in 2025.
In addition to offering the option of sitting the next available diet of the Part 2 written examination on 26 March 2025, we are running an extra diet of the examination solely for the impacted candidates on 21 May. Further diets are also taking place on 16 July and 22 October.
Any candidates who originally indicated that they wished to sit the March diet but would prefer to sit in May, should please let us know.
Candidates can also let us know if they wish to apply for both March and May diets by completing the online form that was emailed to them this week. They should reply by Wednesday 12 March if they wish to sit the March exam and by Tuesday 22 April if they wish to sit the May exam.
Applications for the July diet will be open 5-12 May 2025. Applications for the October diet will be open 11-18 August 2025.
