The JRCPTB and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health have reviewed the appropriate level of paediatric training which should be reached to enter higher training in these specialties.

JRCPTB has provided clarity on the recommended minimum amount of out of hours commitments required for gaining the capabilities required for IM1 training, in particular for academic trainees.
